Stablecoins have eclipsed traditional payment giants PayPal and Visa in monthly transaction volume, underscoring their growing dominance in global digital payments. On-chain data reveals a staggering $111.7 billion in stablecoin transactions, dwarfing Visa's $43.3 billion and PayPal's $4.6 billion. This milestone signals a seismic shift toward blockchain-based settlements for cross-border transfers and routine commerce.

The sector's expansion is further evidenced by a 64.1% monthly surge in adjusted stablecoin transaction volume, reaching $3.3 trillion. Network participation continues to accelerate, with active addresses climbing 3.6% to 44.8 million. These metrics cement stablecoins' position as the backbone of on-chain economic activity, outpacing legacy financial infrastructure in both scale and innovation.
